Partner
Courtney Schmitz is the managing partner of the SLP-McKinney Office. She is double Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization demonstrating her ongoing commitment to legal excellence. Courtney is a fierce warrior in the courtroom and a skilled diplomat in the hallway. She has a growing mediation practice where she is skilled in finding practical solutions for a simple divorce or a multimillion-dollar custody case, and everything in between.
Brenna Loyd
Partner
Brenna Loyd is the founder and managing partner of the SLP-Mid Cities office. She is an advocate for her clients and knows when to be aggressive and when to settle in order to achieve her client’s individual goals. Brenna has exclusively focused her practice on family law and has handled various complex issues, including complicated adoptions. Brenna Loyd sets herself apart from other attorneys with her sincere passion in helping children. She has always been one to volunteer her time in the community and continues to volunteer today with numerous outreach community groups including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Operation Kindness, and SafeHaven of Tarrant County. Brenna became partner at her law firm after only 2 short years of being a licensed attorney, and has established a very successful practice since that time. Brenna has received recognition in the local community as a “Top Lawyer in Fort Worth” by the Fort Worth Texas Magazine 10 years in a row (2014-2023) and named as “10 Best Female Attorneys” by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys. Brenna is a single parent and spends most of her free time with her daughter. She loves animals and has a harlequin Great Dane. When she’s not working or parenting, she can be found traveling and enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.
Natalie D. Paul

Natalie Paul is a partner at the SLP-McKinney Office. She is an experienced attorney who is committed to achieving effective resolutions and excellent representation in all family law matters including divorce, custody modifications and enforcements, CPS cases and child support matters. Additionally, Natalie represents clients in contested and uncontested probate cases, heirship cases, and guardianship cases, as well as providing estate planning services including wills and trusts
